Deborah completed her BCom and LLB Degrees through UNISA and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2000. She has more than 20 years’ experience across a wide spectrum of South African law.
She was a director of Moss Morris Inc until it merged with Routledge Modise Inc in 2005 and was a director of Routledge Modise (previously Eversheds and now Hogan Lovells) until December 2013.
Deborah founded Di Siena Attorneys in 2014. She specialises in commercial litigation, tax litigation, commercial crimes and family law which is one of her areas of expertise.
She is a well-known legal figure and is highly regarded by her peers. She provides legal advice to many high profile individuals and companies in South Africa. Deborah represented a client in what was the largest tax matter in South African history and represents international companies operating in South Africa.
Deborah is the Non-Executive Chairwoman of Sebata Holdings Limited, a JSE listed company and is a member of the AUDIT and REMCO (Remunerations) committee.
Deborah is an accredited Mediator.
She speaks fluent English and Italian.
Alexandra completed her LLB at University of Johannesburg in 2003.
She was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in 2006 and obtained right of appearance in the High Court. She completed her articles at D’Amico Inc and upon being admitted as an attorney of the High Court joined Fluxmans Attorneys as an Associate and appointed as a Director and Partner in 2009.
Alexandra’s specialisation, whilst running a general litigation practice, lies in the area of Family and Divorce Law. She has been involved in numerous high conflict, acrimonious divorce proceedings, and have achieved a favourable result for her clients. She is an experienced practitioner in the following areas of Family Law :-
Divorce Law, preparation of parental rights and responsibility agreements, mediation, drafting of co-habitation and co-ownership agreements, drafting of complex antenuptial contracts, inter-country adoption, drafting of surrogacy agreements, obtaining maintenance orders and executing against maintenance defaulters, extensive dealing with the International Hague Convention regarding International Child Abduction.
In addition, Alexandra have written several articles for publications such as Without Prejudice and Woman & Home.
Carien completed her LLB at the University of the Free State in 2006.
She was admitted as an attorney in 2008 and obtained her right of appearance in the High Court.
She joined Jurgens Bekker Attorneys as a candidate attorney and completed her articles with Jurgens Bekker Attorneys and joined the firm as a senior associate and was employed with them for 11 years.
Carien then joined Di Siena Attorneys as a consultant in October 2018.
She specialises in the field of Family Law and have been involved in various acrimonious divorce litigation and furthermore specialises in the field of legal costs.
Carien specialises in :- Contested/opposed divorces, uncontested/unopposed divorces, general family law matters, parental responsibilities and rights, care and contact of minor children, unmarried father’s rights and contact to minor children, domestic violence matters and protection order, care and contact disputes concerning minor children, child and spousal maintenance, relocations, antenuptial contracts, last will and testaments, Rule 43 application, urgent applications and High Court taxations.
Kyle is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
He obtained an LLB from Unisa and commenced his articles with the firm during December 2016. Kyle also holds a Diploma in business success from the Shaw Academy in Ireland and is currently reading for an LLM in family law.
Kyle was a volunteer for the organization, Challenge Child Abuse, for many years and has a keen interest in family law and criminal law.
In 2011, Kyle was elected as the National Executive Treasure for the student organization, Students for Law and Social Justice and he was also elected as the Vice President of Stellenbosch University Yacht Club.
